Notes - Extremely rare player shirt believed to have been prepared for Pascolo during the 1994 World Cup Finals. This was Switzerland's first World Cup since 1966 and they were drawn in the same group as the hosts in Group A. First up was the USA at Pontiac Silverdome and a 1-1 draw with both teams scoring from free kicks. Onto the second group game where the Swiss emphatically thrashed Gheorghe Hagi's Romania 4-1 with Knup, Chapuisat and Sutter all rampant. Maybe Roy Hodgson's men got ahead of themselves as they were brought back down to earth by Colombia in the final round of group matches, losing out 2-0. Still, they were through to the Round of 16 and you have to go back to 1954 for the last time they managed that. Spain were the opponents though and cruelly dismissed La Nati 3-0 in Washington. Pascolo featured in all four games however he opted to wear the more eye-catching blue version of the goalkeeper kit. The goalkeeper enjoyed his best spell between the posts at Servette where he won the Swiss championship the year going into the 1994 World Cup. After spells in Serie A and the Premership Pascolo returned to Switzerland before ending his career back at Servette. In total he earnt 55 caps for Switzerland and even enjoyed a recall to the Swiss team in his final playing year before retirement.
